Intel recently released its XeSS 3 upscaling technology, which includes a multi-frame generation feature. Enthusiast Alva Jonathan showed that even on a four-year-old entry-level model, activating XeSS 3 provides a noticeable performance boost in games. According to Intel, XeSS 3 upscaling not only fills in the picture, but also inserts additional frames generated by AI to improve image smoothness. In standard mode, the Arc A380 delivers around 50-60 fps in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p resolution and low settings. After activating XeSS 3 with frame generation, the counter jumps to 120-150 fps depending on the selected parameters. However, not everything is perfect. The fourfold frame generation mode is accompanied by noticeable lag and image artifacts. But lowering it to threefold generation yields about 120 fps in the game with less noticeable lag and no artifacts. To access multi-frame generation on the Arc 380 model, you need to perform a few simple steps: copy two DLL files from the Graphics_101.8362 driver folder and paste them into the Graphics_101.8425 folder, replacing the existing files. |
