HUAWEI has officially launched the flagship Pura 80 series of smartphones in the international market. The lineup includes the Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Ultra models, which emphasize photo capabilities and advanced optics. In addition to advanced cameras, the devices get high-brightness screens, capacious batteries and support for fast charging.

The place of the global announcement of the flagship series was Dubai. The company notes that the new products harmoniously combine the principles of Eastern and Western design aesthetics. The source of inspiration for their appearance was the classic glaze of earthenware, which is expressed in the glossy coating of the body. Also, the Pura 80 series has retained the recognizable triangular design of the camera module. At the same time, the manufacturer took care not only about aesthetics, but also about reliability. Thus, in Pura 80 Ultra the frame is made of titanium and Kunlun Glass of the 2nd generation is used - it withstands drops 25 times better and 16 times more resistant to scratches than ordinary glass.

The main feature of the Pura 80 Ultra is a system of two telephoto lenses combined in one module. They provide 3.7x and 9.4x optical zoom, and a large photo sensor allows you to shoot both waist-length portraits and close-ups with the effect of perspective compression.

The Pura 80 Ultra's main camera is based on a 1-inch sensor in which the capacity of maximum potential pit fill has been increased to 40,000 electrons, 7 times more than the Pura 70 Ultra smartphone. Dynamic range can reach an industry-high 16 EV, 15 times higher than the Pura 70 Ultra. Paired with real-time TCG-HDR technology, three high-power signals separately capture ultra-bright, bright and dark details to eliminate over-lighting and preserve details in dark areas.

The Pura 80 Pro uses a one-inch RYYB sensor with a 10-stop adjustable aperture from f/1.6 to f/4.0. So, when shooting portraits in dimly lit environments such as clubs or bars, the camera intelligently switches to a wider f/1.6 aperture to capture more light. During low-light group photos, the camera switches to an aperture of f/4.0 to convey depth of field and clearly depict people in the foreground and background.

HUAWEI Pura 80 series smartphones have an updated Live Photos mode, which automatically captures 1.5 seconds before and after pressing the shooting button, allowing you to select the best moment, and then in the album with the help of AI to add multi-exposure effect (for example, to show the entire path of movement of a person or a ball) or long exposure (blur the background, highlighting the main object on a busy street).

HUAWEI Pura 80 smartphone cameras also use new algorithms, thanks to which photos remain sharp even at high magnification and low light, and colors remain as natural as possible. In addition, with HUAWEI XMAGE's advanced filters and styles, you can give your photos the look you want right when you're taking them.

Along with the cameras, the screen has also been improved. Both smartphones feature a 6.8-inch OLEDOLED technology was invented by Eastman Kodak in the early 1980s. OLED panels are made from organic (carbon based) materials that emit light when electricity is applied through them. Since OLEDs do not require a backlight and filters (unlike LCD displays), they are more efficient, simpler to make, and much thinner. OLEDs have a great picture quality - brilliant colors, fast response rate and a wide viewing angle. OLEDs can also be used to make OLED lighting - thin, efficient and without any bad metals.display with a resolution of 2848x1276 pixels, a refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz and a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits. High color fidelity, HDRHDR stands for High Dynamic Range imaging, and it is an old photography practice recently introduced to cameraphones like the iPhone and some Android devices (or with the use of special apps). support and 1440Hz PWM dimming frequency make the screens comfortable for both content viewing and everyday use in all lighting conditions.

The devices get a revamped audio system with two speakers with the industry's largest amplitude of 0.85mm. The 10 times larger sound chamber transmits more details. The smartphones also feature a new smart button that lets you customize access to the camera, notes or other functions. A fingerprint scanner is also built into the same button.

The HUAWEI Pura 80 series also utilizes AI technology to suppress noise for both participants in a phone call. The system intelligently recognizes the main speaker and suppresses surrounding noises and human voices. AI algorithms are also used to improve the accuracy and speed of fingerprint recognition.

A capacious 5170 mAh battery supports HUAWEI SuperCharge fast wired charging up to 100W and wireless charging up to 80W.

Soon the novelties should appear on the shelves of Russian stores. Pura 80 Ultra costs about 1400 dollars for 16/512 GB, and Pura 80 Pro - about 1100 dollars for 12/512 GB.
