HUAWEI has begun sales of its budget smartphone, the Enjoy 90, in China. The main features of the new model include a large display with enhanced touch sensitivity, fast charging, and a relatively affordable retail price.
The device features a 6.67-inch IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..display with a resolution of 1604x720 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 850 cd/m². The manufacturer claims that the touchscreen accurately detects even touches from wet fingers and functions properly at temperatures as low as -20 ?C.
The device is powered by a Kirin 8000A processor, while a 6,620 mAh battery with support for 40-watt SuperCharge Turbo charging ensures long battery life. According to promotional materials, a 30-minute charge replenishes 55% of a fully discharged battery.
The HUAWEI Enjoy 90's feature set is rounded out by a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and a programmable Enjoy X button for quickly launching frequently used apps or functions. The new device runs on the HarmonyOS 6.0 operating system.
The HUAWEI Enjoy 90 is available in China in blue, white, and black body colors, priced at $190 and $235 for the 128GB and 256GB versions, respectively.
