Honor has expanded its range of branded smartphones with the entry-level Honor X7d model. The device features a high-resolution camera, a durable body with dust and moisture protection, and a high-capacity battery.
The 6.77-inch IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..screen supports a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz at HD+ resolution. The Honor X7d is powered by an entry-level Snapdragon 685 processor with three memory configurations: 12 + 128 GB, 16 + 128 GB, and 16 + 256 GB.
A dual rear camera with a 108 MP main sensor and a 2 MP auxiliary depth sensor is responsible for taking photos and videos. An 8 MP front camera is installed for selfies and video calls.
The device is powered by a 6500 mAh battery with support for 35W charging, and the smartphone runs on MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15. SGS certification has also been announced, confirming the smartphone's resistance to damage from drops, as well as IP65 water and dust protection.
The Honor X7d is available in four body colors: beige, silver, black, and blue. The price of the new product has not yet been announced.
