Honor has officially unveiled Magic V5 - the thinnest foldable smartphone in the world. At the same time, the manufacturer paid much attention to its durability and reliability. It is also one of the most advanced devices in the class in terms of technical specifications. In the white color version, the thickness of the device is only 8.8 mm when folded and 4.1 mm when unfolded. The other variants are slightly thicker at 9mm and 4.2mm respectively. The weight also depends on the version: the white one is 217g, while the others are 5g heavier. Despite the compact size, the smartphone has a reinforced hinge that can withstand loads up to 2300 MPa, and IP59 dust and water protection. The Magic V5 is powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite platform. The smartphone packs up to 16GB of RAM ![]() ![]() The main camera is represented by three modules: 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor (f/1.6), 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle (f/2.0) and 64-megapixel TV with 3x optical zoom and laser autofocus. There's also a color temperature sensor. Both screens have 20MP front cameras with f/2.2 aperture. Battery capacity depends on the configuration: 6,100 mAh in the 16GB + 1TB version and 5,820 mAh in all others. Wired charging with 66W and wireless charging with 50W is supported. The smartphone also features reverse wireless charging. Honor has managed to keep the body thickness to a minimum by using aerospace fiber based composite materials. The Honor Magic V5 is priced at $1,255 for the 12+512GB version, $1,395 for the 16+512GB version, and $1,535 for the 16GB + 1TB version in China. |
