An affordable gaming monitor - ANT253PQ - has appeared in HKC's range. The novelty has a screen with thin frames and high refresh rate, support for gaming technologies, backlit design and a low price.
As a screen, the manufacturer installed a 24.5-inch Fast IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..panel with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 300 Hz and a response time (GtG) of 1 ms. Also announced coverage of 99% of the DCI-P3 color space, support for 10-bit color depth, which provides display of 10.7 billion colors, as well as brightness of 400 nits, confirmed by VESA DisplayHDR 400 certificate.
The monitor supports FreeSync Premium and G-Sync gaming technologies, which minimize tearing and ?stuttering? of the picture in games, as well as DIC, which is responsible for eliminating ghosting and improving the clarity of the image in dynamic scenes. There are several preset game modes such as FPS, RPG and RCG, as well as customizable aiming and dark color enhancement for good visibility in dark areas of the screen.
The ANT253PQ's interfaces include two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 and audio output. Additionally, the monitor has a customizable stand with height, tilt and swivel adjustments, VESA 100x100mm VESA mount support and RGB backlit inserts on the rear panel.
HKC ANT253PQ is priced at only $250.
