Hisense has unveiled its G7 Ultra dual-mode monitor with mini-LED backlighting and a quantum dot matrix. It also has a brightness of 2000 nits, which is unusual for a monitor, and professional-grade color reproduction.

The Hisense G7 Ultra has a 27-inch IPSIn Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..quantum dot matrix with mini-LED backlighting and 1152 dimming zones. The response time reaches 1 ms, the peak brightness is 2000 nits, and the refresh rate depends on the resolution. In native 4K, it is 160 Hz, in Full HD1080p (also known as Full HD or FHD and BT.709) is a set of HDTV high-definition video modes characterized by 1080 horizontal lines of vertical resolution and progressive scan, as opposed to interlaced, as is the case with the 1080i display standard. The term usually assumes a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9, implying a resolution of 1920x1080 (2.1 megapixel) often marketed as Full HD.? 320 Hz. The monitor also covers 99% of the DCI-P3 standard, 100% of Adobe RGB, 99% of sRGB, and 85% of BT.2020. The ΔE indicator does not exceed two units.

The display also features a coating called Obsidian Screen, which suppresses glare (up to 1.8%) . At the same time, the contrast ratio is 1000:1. Other features include a blue light filter, DisplayHDR 1400 support, AMD FreeSync Premium, a floating crosshair, shadow brightener, and gaming display modes, including a special setting for Black Myth: Wukong.

DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 are available for connecting to a signal source. The company has also added a 90W Type-C connector, USB Type-A and Type-B ports, a headphone jack, and KVM switch functionality.

The monitor will go on sale in China on September 26. The price has not yet been announced.
