GIGABYTE has expanded its line of external graphics cards with the introduction of the AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX. The new product is aimed at users of ultra-thin laptops who need extra graphics power for gaming or working with AI applications. Key features include a Thunderbolt 5 interface, Windforce cooling system, Power Delivery support, and a compact case with RGB lighting. The device is based on the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with 16 GB of video memory. The AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX weighs significantly less than the older RTX 5090 model and is more compact (243 x 117 x 48 mm). Cooling is provided by the proprietary Windforce system with an internal fan. Connectivity options include a Thunderbolt 5 port with Daisy Chain support, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and an Ethernet network connector. Power Delivery 3.0 is supported for fast charging. Thanks to the variety of interfaces, the eGPU can also act as a hub for peripherals. According to GIGABYTE, performance via Thunderbolt 5 is almost identical to the desktop RTX 5060 Ti ? the difference is only about 5%. In the 3DMark Time Spy benchmark, the eGPU scores 14,669 points compared to 15,441 for the PCIe version. There is no official price yet, but the cost of the new product is not expected to exceed $1,000, with the recommended price of the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB at $429. |
