The Garmin Descent Mk3i smartwatch for divers has received a new version. The model's key features remain its durable case and the ability to communicate at depths of up to 30 meters underwater using Garmin SubWave technology, but the gadget's size has increased significantly. The Garmin Descent Mk3i is now available in a 51-mm version in addition to the previous 43-mm model. The case colors are ?Titanium Black? and ?Titanium Silver.? The AMOLED The device is water-resistant to a depth of 200 meters (20 ATM), comes equipped with the DiveView diving map set featuring 4,000 locations, and can track tank pressure and dive depth for up to eight people within a 10-meter radius. In addition, it supports a standard set of smartwatch features: workout programs, sleep quality monitoring, heart rate, and SpO2 levels. Underwater, multiple devices can connect using SubWave technology. Thanks to this, divers can send each other short predefined messages at distances of up to 30 meters. In addition, the watch can assess dive readiness based on the owner's health metrics. The new product is already available on the brand's website in the U.S. for $1,599. |
