Fractal Design has announced a new series of Meshify 3 computer cases in various formats and configurations. The line includes both standard versions and the larger Meshify 3 XL. All cases are available with blank side panel or glass, with or without backlighting. The size of the regular Meshify 3 is 433 x 229 x 507 mm and weighs between 8.7 and 9.1 kg. The Ambience Pro RGB version is a bit heavier due to the built-in Adjust Pro Hub fan controller and second generation ARGB advanced backlighting. Inside the case there is room for motherboards up to E-ATX format (305 x 277mm), graphics cards up to 349mm long and coolers up to 173mm high. Meshify 3 accommodates liquid cooling radiators on the front (up to 360mm) and top (up to 280mm). Up to six 120mm or five 140mm fans can also be installed. Three 140mm fans with or without backlighting are included. There are two 3.5-inch drive bays and four 2.5-inch drive bays for storage. The Meshify 3 XL models are noticeably larger: 575 x 245 x 515 mm and weigh between 10.5 and 11.9 kg depending on the backlight and fan controller. The XL version accommodates longer graphics cards (up to 512mm), taller coolers (up to 183mm) and power supplies up to 230mm in length. They can also accommodate up to ten fans. All Meshify 3 cases offer quick access to frequently used ports on the front panel: one USB Type-C  With the continued success of the USB interface, there exists a need to adapt USB technology to serve newer computing platforms and devices as they trend toward smaller, thinner and lighter form-factors. Many of these newer platforms and devices are reaching a point where existing USB receptacles and plugs are inhibiting innovation, especially given the relatively large size and internal volume constraints of the Standard-A and Standard-B versions of USB connectors. (20Gbps), two USB Type-A (5Gbps) and a 3.5mm audio out combo.Prices for the standard Meshify 3 start at $140 for a version with a blank or glass panel and non-illuminated fans. The version with RGB fans costs $160, while the Ambience Pro RGB version will cost $220. The price of the Meshify 3 XL models has not been announced yet. |
