Colorful has unveiled its first motherboard based on AMD's flagship X870E chipset. The new product, called CVN X870E Ark Frozen, is designed for enthusiasts and those who build high-performance gaming or work computers. The board is equipped with a 19-phase power subsystem based on a 16+2+1 configuration with 80 A Dr.MOS, which allows for the smooth installation of 16-core processors from the Ryzen 9000 series. Massive aluminum heatsinks are used to cool the VRM. The Colorful CVN X870E Ark Frozen has one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for graphics cards, one PCIe 4.0 x4 slot for expansion cards, one high-speed M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 slot for top-end SSDs, and two M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots for slower drives. The board supports four DDR5 modules with overclocking up to 8200 MT/s and is equipped with a CVN Aries Frost Cooling Armor plate for effective SSD cooling. There are also modern interfaces, including a 20 Gbps USB-C ![]() ![]() The cost of the new product is not yet known. |
