be quiet! has unveiled its Power Zone 2 and Pure Power 13 M power supplies. Both new products deliver up to 1200 W of power with low noise levels and comply with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, but differ in design and 80 Plus certification class. The ?platinum? be quiet! Power Zone 2 with a claimed efficiency of 94.3% is equipped with a 140 mm Pure Wings 3 fan. It operates in semi-passive mode: it only starts up under high load and continues to run for 2-5 minutes after the load is reduced. This makes the assembly quieter compared to analogues on traditional PSU cooling systems. The set includes two 12V-2x6 cables (up to 600 W) with L-shaped connectors, as well as three classic 6 + 2 power connectors for video cards. The PSU topology includes a half-bridge LLC converter with synchronous rectification and a single 12-volt bus rated at 100 A. The ?gold? be quiet! Pure Power 13 M with 93.5% efficiency is based on a combination of LLC, SR, and DC/DC topologies, and is cooled by a 120 mm semi-passive proprietary fan. The new product's case has a 12V-2x6 connector (up to 600 W) and four traditional PCI connectors for a 6 + 2 connector. be quiet! Power Zone 2 will go on sale in the US market on January 27 (from $269), and Pure Power 13 M on February 10 (from $229). |
