ASUS has announced the ProArt ?designer? router with Wi-Fi 7 support

ASUS has expanded its lineup of branded networking equipment with the introduction of the ProArt PRT-BE5000 router. Models in this series feature an original design and are aimed at content creators?though the new model's specifications also make it suitable for use as a gaming device.

The ASUS ProArt Router PRT-BE5000 is housed in a case without external antennas and is equipped with five network ports (1 x 2.5 Gbps WAN, 1 x 2.5 Gbps LAN, 3 x 1 Gbps LAN). The new model supports the Wi-FiWi-Fi is a type of wireless networking protocol that allows devices to communicate without cords or cables. Wi-Fi is technically an industry term that represents a type of wireless local area network (LAN) protocol based on the 802.11 IEEE network standard. It is the most popular means of communicating data wirelessly, within a fixed location, today. 7 standard but operates only in the 2.4 GHz (688 Mbps) and 5 GHz (4320 Mbps) bands.

The device's claimed coverage area is 204 m². If necessary, multiple routers can be easily combined into a single Mesh network. Another feature of the model is traffic prioritization for work tasks.

At the same time, ASUS introduced the ProArt PQG-U1080 switch. It features a pair of 10-Gigabit SFP+ ports and eight Ethernet ports (2.5 Gbps). This configuration is useful, for example, for connecting high-performance network storage devices.

The manufacturer has not yet announced prices or release dates for these new products.
