ASUS unveiled the TUF Series Five lineup of gaming monitors

asus-

The catalog of ASUS gaming products has been enriched by the TUF Series Five gaming monitors family, which includes more than 20 new products. During the presentation the brand revealed the features of the two older models - the classic TUF Gaming VG27AQML5A and ?super wide? VG34WQML5A.

The flagship of the new series with the index VG27AQML5A is equipped with a 27-inch Fast IPSIn Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..matrix with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels, refresh rate of 300 Hz and coverage of 95% of the P3 color space. The maximum backlight brightness of the novelty is 400 cd/m² (HDR10), response time is 0.3 ms. The monitor supports VRR, AMD FreeSync Premium, NVIDIA G-SYNC and ASUS ELMB Sync technologies.

The list of gaming AI-functions of the novelty includes dynamic crosshair (changes color so that it is always visible) and the function of highlighting shadows on the screen. The set of interfaces includes DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C and a headphone port. Another feature of the model is the ASUS DisplayWidget Center on-screen settings menu with mouse support.

The 34-inch ASUS TUF Gaming VG34WQML5A monitor features a curved (1500R) VA matrix with a resolution of 3440x1440 pixels. The screen has a refresh rate of 250Hz and 95% coverage of the P3 color space. The monitor also supports the above listed gamer technologies and ?enhancers?, but additionally received one more DisplayPort 1.4 connector and three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A.

Specifications of the rest of the models, as well as sales launch dates and prices of those already shown will be announced later.
