ASRock unveils new gaming monitors for racing and shooters |

ASRock has added two new models to its monitor series: the Phantom Gaming PG27FFT1A and PG27FFT1B. Both devices feature 27-inch screens with high refresh rate and fast response. They are also notable for their high color accuracy and HDR  HDR stands for High Dynamic Range imaging, and it is an old photography practice recently introduced to cameraphones like the iPhone and some Android devices (or with the use of special apps). support.Both new products have Fast IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..matrices with Full HD1080p (also known as Full HD or FHD and BT.709) is a set of HDTV high-definition video modes characterized by 1080 horizontal lines of vertical resolution and progressive scan, as opposed to interlaced, as is the case with the 1080i display standard. The term usually assumes a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9, implying a resolution of 1920x1080 (2.1 megapixel) often marketed as Full HD.resolution and 180 Hz refresh rate. The latter characteristic, according to the manufacturer, will allow gamers to comfortably play dynamic games such as racing and shooters, as well as provide smooth playback of various multimedia content.Other features of the monitors include wide viewing angles (178 degrees), fast response (1ms MPRT) and wide color gamut (123% sRGB and 94% DCI-P3). Both models have received VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and blue spectrum backlight suppression. The PG27FFT1A features an ergonomic stand with tilt and swivel adjustment. ASRock will announce the launch date and pricing of the new ASRock monitors at a later date. |
