In addition to announcing the new iPad Pro tablets, Apple has unveiled a new magnetic keyboard for them, the Magic Keyboard. Although many expected that the updated model this time will be completely aluminum, Apple notes that only the wrist rest is made of this material. At the same time, the new keyboard turns out to be thinner and lighter than the previous one. The new Magic Keyboard is only for iPad Pro tablets. Other iPad models are not supported by the new keyboard. The version for the 11-inch tablet is priced at $299, while the 13-inch version is priced at $349. The new Magic Keyboard differs from the previous generation of keyboards by a number of upper function keys. With their help you can, for example, control the volume, brightness settings of the iPad Pro screen, control the player, etc. There is also an Escape button. Apple has also significantly increased the size of the trackpad on the new Magic Keyboard and "made it even more responsive," according to the company's press release. An aluminum hand rest has been added to the keyboard in the trackpad area, making the experience of using the new keyboard more similar to using a MacBook keyboard. Like the previous version, the new Magic Keyboard will be offered in two colors: black and white. It will begin shipping next week. |
