Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman has reported that Apple will soon release an updated version of the MacBook Pro, one of the key features of which will be a touchscreen display.
According to the journalist, the laptops are currently codenamed K114 and K116, and their release is scheduled for late 2026 or early 2027. In addition to the touchscreen OLED OLED technology was invented by Eastman Kodak in the early 1980s. OLED panels are made from organic (carbon based) materials that emit light when electricity is applied through them. Since OLEDs do not require a backlight and filters (unlike LCD displays), they are more efficient, simpler to make, and much thinner. OLEDs have a great picture quality - brilliant colors, fast response rate and a wide viewing angle. OLEDs can also be used to make OLED lighting - thin, efficient and without any bad metals.display, the devices will feature a thinner and lighter body and a new M6 chip. At the same time, the updated MacBook Pro will retain a full-size trackpad and keyboard. The company will also abandon the rectangular cutout that houses the webcam in current models in favor of Dynamic Island, as in the iPhone. The laptop's design will also feature a new hinge and mount to prevent screen displacement and ?jerking? when touched.
Due to more expensive components, the new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros are expected to cost several hundred dollars more than the current versions. For comparison, the cost of current models without a touchscreen and with high-performance processors starts at $1,999 for the 14-inch versions and $2,499 for the 16-inch versions.
