AOC showed dual-mode monitor with refresh rate up to 320 Hz

aoc-u27g4-

AOC company has introduced a gaming monitor U27G4 with the ability to switch between 160 and 320 Hz refresh rate with different screen resolution. In addition to this feature, the model is interesting and other ?gamer? characteristics.

AOC U27G4 is equipped with a 27-inch Fast IPSIn Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..matrix, which can work in two modes: 4K @ 160 Hz and 1080 @ 320 Hz. The panel response time is 1ms (GtG), maximum brightness is 450 nits (VESA DisplayHDR 400), and contrast ratio is 1000:1. It is also claimed to cover 100% of the sRGB color space and 95% of DCI-P3.

In addition, the monitor supports AMD FreeSync technology and comes with a proprietary utility G-Menu. It allows you to use additional functions useful for gamers: highlighting shadows, adjusting color reproduction, on-screen aiming for shooters and Motion Blur Reduction to remove blurred objects in dynamic scenes.

The list of features of the model is completed by the function of screen rotation at 90 ?, the mode ?picture in picture? and the ability to split the screen in two to broadcast the signal from two sources. You can connect to the monitor through two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4, and for headphones there is a 3.5mm connector. AOC U27G4 price and start date of sales have not been announced yet.
