AOC has announced two new monitors: the widescreen 34-inch CU34G4Z and the smaller 25G4SXU, which can overclock up to 310Hz. Both models are aimed at gamers who want high refresh rates and HDR HDR stands for High Dynamic Range imaging, and it is an old photography practice recently introduced to cameraphones like the iPhone and some Android devices (or with the use of special apps). support for reasonable money.
AOC AGON CU34G4Z is equipped with a curved 34-inch VA-matrix (1500R, 21:9) with a resolution of 3440x1440 pixels, refresh rate up to 240 Hz, support for HDR10 and fast response (1 ms GtG and 0.3 ms MPRT). To connect to the monitor there is one DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1 connectors.
On the body of the novelty is also placed USB-hub with two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports. Among other features of the model, the brand emphasizes the flicker suppression function and built-in menu for quick access to game settings.
The AOC AGON 25G4SXU has a 24.5-inch flat panel display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Its Fast IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..matrix supports refresh rates up to 310Hz. Response time is the same as the older model, there is support for NVIDIA G-SYNC and HDR10 technologies. Thanks to the adjustable stand, the monitor can be raised by 130 mm, tilted and switched to portrait mode. The built-in USB hub has four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports.
The monitors will be available later in April. In China, the AOC CU34G4Z will cost $472, while the 25G4SXU model will cost buyers $254.
