AMD Launches Ryzen Pro 9000 Professional Processors with 3D V-Cache |

AMD has expanded its Ryzen Pro 9000 line of professional processors for workstations and enterprise PCs with six new models based on the Zen 5 architecture. The chips featuring 3D V-Cache technology?the AMD Ryzen 9 Pro 9965X3D and AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 9755X3D?are generating the most interest. The Ryzen Pro 9000 series now offers configurations ranging from six to 16 cores and TDPs from 65 to 170 W. The flagship AMD Ryzen 9 Pro 9965X3D features 16 Zen 5 cores, 32 threads, a clock speed of up to 5.5 GHz, and 128 MB of L3 cache. In fact, this is the enterprise version of the gaming Ryzen 9 9950X3D, but with support for AMD Pro's proprietary features. The processor's TDP is an impressive 170 W?the highest figure for the Ryzen Pro lineup on the AM5 platform. As an alternative to the top-of-the-line Ryzen 9 Pro 9965X3D, the company offers the standard AMD Ryzen 9 Pro 9965 (also 170W) and the 12-core AMD Ryzen 9 Pro 9955 with a 120W TDP?both with 64MB of cache. In the mid-range segment, the AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 9755X3D has been introduced?the first 8-core Pro chip with 96 MB of L3 cache and 3D V-Cache. Two additional models?the AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 9755 (120 W) and the AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 9655 (120 W)?are designed for high-performance enterprise PCs and mid-range workstations. |
