The materials shown at AMD's closed presentation dedicated to the update of Ryzen series of mobile processors have appeared in the network. Thanks to the leak, not only the company's plans for this segment of chips became known, but also quite specific characteristics of two future novelties at once. Judging by the photo, AMD plans to ?refresh? several existing mobile processors, but two new models will be presented at the same time. The flagship Ryzen AI 9 HX with 12 cores on Zen 5 architecture will get 36 MB of cache memory, 16 RDNA 3.5 graphics blocks and an NPU module with a performance of over 55 TOPS. The maximum clock frequency of the novelty will be just over 5.2 GHz. Eight-core Ryzen AI 7 with 24 MB of cache will be equipped with an RDNA 3 ?inline? with eight computing units. It is also claimed to have a frequency just above 5.2 GHz and an NPU module with a performance of more than 55 TOPS. According to the portal Wccftech, processors of the Gorgon Point family will retain FP8, but will get a noticeable performance boost over their predecessors: about 10% and 12% in single- and multi-threaded tasks, respectively . The date of appearance of new products in the consumer models of notebooks is still unknown. |
