alienware-aw2725d-

The Alienware gaming brand portfolio has been expanded with new gaming monitors AW2725D and AW3425DW. Both models have QD-OLED screens and, as the manufacturer notes, are more affordable compared to similar models from 2024.

The Alienware AW2725D features a 27-inch panel with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 280 Hz. It also claims to cover 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, Delta E<2 color accuracy, and an anti-burn algorithm. The price of the new product in the US will be $549.

The AW3425DW monitor features a 34-inch curved display. The list of specifications is also not yet complete, but it does feature a 240Hz refresh rate, HDMI 2.1 port, and a new on-screen menu user interface. The monitor will be priced at $799.

In addition, the brand announced two more affordable monitors with 25- (AW2525HM) and 27-inch (AW2725DM) Fast IPSIn Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..screens priced at $249 and $269, respectively. The launch date of the new products will be announced later.
