Acer has introduced a 27-inch monitor with advanced by the standards of ?budget? technical characteristics on the Chinese market. The novelty is equipped with a fast Fast IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..matrix and a modern set of interfaces for connecting to a computer.
The resolution of the Acer MG270UX display is 2560x1440 pixels, refresh rate - 210 Hz. Among other features of the monitor, the manufacturer emphasizes the response time of 1 ms (GtG), static contrast of 1000:1 and backlight brightness up to 300 nits.
In addition, color coverage of 72% of the NTSC palette is declared. The set of interfaces includes HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4, as well as a 3.5mm plug for wired headphones. In addition to a complete stand, there is also an option of mounting on a VESA bracket (75 x 75 mm).
Acer MG270UX price in China is $118.
