New DDR5 memory overclocking record set |
|
Overclockers have once again updated the upper limit of overclocking of DDR5 standard RAMRandom Access Memory (RAM) is the place in a computer where the operating system, application programs, and data in current use are kept so that they can be quickly reached by the computers processor.. The new record-breaker was a CUDIMM bar manufactured by V-Color in combination with the flagship Intel Core Ultra processor. The first user from the USA under the nickname AKM registered his result in the HWbot database. He overclocked a 24GB V-Color Manta XFinity RGB module to 6131.9MHz (effective frequency 12,264MHz, timings 52-92-92-127). The test platform also included an ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF motherboard, an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor and a liquid nitrogen cooling system. A little later V-Color reported a new record: overclocker saltycroissant ?squeezed? from a similar module 6175.4 MHz (effective frequency 12,350 MHz) in conjunction with similar hardware and cooling. However, it is still impossible to achieve such figures in ordinary home conditions. |
