TP-Link has unveiled two new routers with Wi-FiWi-Fi is a type of wireless networking protocol that allows devices to communicate without cords or cables. Wi-Fi is technically an industry term that represents a type of wireless local area network (LAN) protocol based on the 802.11 IEEE network standard. It is the most popular means of communicating data wirelessly, within a fixed location, today. 7 support and Mesh networking capabilities. The entry-level Archer BE220 for $99 gets gigabit LAN ports and decent bandwidth, while the more advanced Archer BE7200 is geared toward higher networking loads. TP-Link Archer BE220 with three internal antennas ?squeezes? up to 2882 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and up to 688 Mbps in 2.4 GHz. The novelty comes with HomeShield utilities for protection against network threats and EasyMesh for quick Mesh-network setup. The router body accommodates a gigabit WAN-port and four LANs with the same bandwidth. The dimensions of the device are 170 x 155 x 52.5 mm and the price in the US is $99. Archer BE7200 model is characterized by higher throughput (up to 5764 / 1376 Mbit in 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands respectively). Its ports are also faster: one WAN/LAN each for 10 and 2.5 Gbps, as well as three gigabit LAN-connectors. The dimensions of the router are 200 x 176 x 55 mm and the price is $169. |
