Thunderobot has announced the JU24F160L gaming monitor with a matte 23.8-inch display. According to the manufacturer, this is the first model on the market with this combination of screen size, resolution, and refresh rate. The Thunderobot JU24F160L features a Fast IPS  In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..panel with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels. The image density is 185 pixels per inch?13.45% higher than 27-inch 4K monitors. The maximum backlight brightness reaches 400 nits.The display features a matte anti-glare coating, covering 95% of the P3 gamut and 99% of the sRGB color space. Each monitor is factory calibrated (ΔE < 2). A blue light filter and DC Dimming technology are used to reduce eye strain. The included stand is height-adjustable, tiltable, and swivel-adjustable, and the display can be switched to portrait mode. The monitor supports picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes for simultaneous operation with two signal sources. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, and a 3.5mm audio output. The new monitor also features two built-in speakers. Sales of the Thunderobot JU24F160L in China will begin on August 10th at a price of 1,499 yuan (about $222). |
