The TECNO Camon 50 Ultra smartphone underwent a photo test at the DxOMark laboratory. The gadget did not become the best in the overall standings, but it took first place in its price category. The rear camera block of the TECNO Camon 50 Ultra is equipped with three modules: Main: 50 MP, f/1.8, 23 mm FOV, 1/1.56", 1 ?m, PDAF, OIS Ultra-wide angle: 8 MP, f/2.2, FOV 14 mm, 112?, 1/4", 1.12 ?m Telephoto: 50 MP, f/2.4, FOV 70 mm (3x zoom), 1/2.88", 0.61 ?m, PDAF Reviewers noted the stable and accurate exposure selection of the main camera, natural color reproduction, and skin tone preservation. Noise, detail, and autofocus also did not cause any complaints, and when taking group photos, the camera used AI to unobtrusively improve facial details. When shooting in twilight, the detail in the photos was good and the noise level was low. Faces were clearly distinguishable, although they were sometimes lighter than the background. In portrait mode, the phone conveyed the depth of the scene and skin tone well, and accurately separated the background from the subject. The zoom module demonstrated the same quality as the main camera, but the ultra-wide angle was not as good: some shots were blurry and had a high level of digital noise. The device handled video recording well overall: the autofocus was stable and the detail was high. The list of drawbacks includes rare errors in exposure and white balance selection, when the camera incorrectly selected brightness, contrast, and temperature. Faces were also sometimes displayed differently than in reality. Based on the test results, the smartphone was recognized as the best in the price category up to $600, and ranked 41st in the overall rating. |
