SanDisk's range of gaming drives now includes a new version of the WD_Black SN8100 with 8 TB capacity. The new product is available in two configurations: with and without an aluminum heat sink. According to official specifications, the SN8100 achieves sequential read/write speeds of 14,900 MB/s and 13,200 MB/s, respectively. The drive's random read and write performance is 2.2 million and 2.4 million IOPS. The new product features 218-layer TLC 3D NAND flash memory with CBA (CMOS direct Bonded to Array) technology. Compared to previous solutions, it significantly improves energy efficiency, performance, and data storage density. The WD_Black SN8100 has a manufacturer-stated endurance of 4800 TBW. According to Tom's Hardware, the SN8100 series showed the best results among PCIe 5.0 drives in almost all tests conducted. The SanDisk WD_Black SN8100 8 TB is available from the company's official online store for $999.99 for the version without a heat sink and $1,049.99 for the configuration with a heat sink. |
