The S85D lineup is built on NQ4 AI Gen2 processors, has received AI scaling functions up to 4K resolution and Pantone certification, which indicates accurate color reproduction. Dolby Atmos, Samsung TV Plus ad-supported streaming service and Samsung Gaming Hub are present. A few new models in the S90D series are also unveiled.

Samsung marketers claim that the S85D series TVs have a bold look thanks to their contoured design, although they look like any other modern TV. The S85D series is equipped with Motion Xcelerator technology, and one of the key compromises of the budget units is the maximum refresh rate of the display, which is only 120Hz compared to 144Hz in the S90 lineup. There are four HDMI 2.1 ports with support for 4K video at 120Hz.

Pricing for the S85D series starts at $1,700 for the 55-inch TV. The 65-inch model will cost $2,100 and the 77-inch variant will cost $3,400.

The S90D lineup, originally introduced in the same three sizes as the S85D, will be joined by a 42-inch model priced at $1,400 and a 48-inch TV for $1,600. The maximum screen size in the S90D series is now 83 inches, such a TV is estimated by the manufacturer at $ 5400.

Samsung positions the S90D lineup as ideal for gamers, as the TVs in this series use Motion Xcelerator Turbo+ technology that minimizes lag in games.
