Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy A56, a mid-range smartphone that has several features of the S-series flagships. It supports useful functions based on AI algorithms, charges faster than its predecessors, and will receive firmware updates for up to seven years from its release. The Samsung Galaxy A56 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED ![]() ![]() The new SoC is equipped with a powerful neural module (14.7 TOPS ? 37% faster than the Galaxy A55). This allows the gadget to use an AI eraser, smart photo filters, including a seamless face swap function, and the Circle and Find tool. The smartphone's 5000 mAh battery supports 45-watt fast charging technology for the first time in the series. According to the manufacturer, the battery restores 65% of its energy in half an hour and reaches 100 in 68 minutes. The rear camera unit includes a 50 MP main module (f/1.8, optical stabilization), a 12 MP ultra-wide (f/2.2) and a 5 MP sensor with a macro lens (f/2.4). The resolution of the front camera cut into the display is 12 megapixels. The Galaxy A56 case with an aluminum frame around the perimeter is protected from dust and water according to the IP67 standard. The new product runs Android 15 with the One UI 7 shell. The company announced that the device will receive six Android updates, and the corporate version of the smartphone will be updated for seven years. The price of the new product in the US is $499 and $529 for versions with a memory capacity of 128 and 256 GB, in Europe the gadget is priced at ?479 and ?529, respectively. |
