realme has unveiled its new P4s 5G smartphone, the eighth model in the P4 series. This relatively affordable device emphasizes a high-quality display, a capacious battery, and full water and dust resistance.

The device features a 6.78-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED

AMOLED, which stands for Active Matrix OLED, is a hybrid display technology that pairs the active matrix backplane from a traditional TFT display with an OLED display. As a result of their active matrix natures, AMOLED displays have faster pixel switching response times than do traditional OLED displays, which are prone to ghosting when displaying fast moving animations.display with a 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. Peak brightness is claimed to be 6,500 nits, and the touchscreen refresh rate reaches 3,000Hz.

One of the key features of the realme P4s 5G is its 8000 mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging. Performance is handled by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor with a frequency of up to 2.6 GHz, complemented by a HyperVision+ AI chip for improved gaming image quality. It features up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM

Random Access Memory (RAM) is the place in a computer where the operating system, application programs, and data in current use are kept so that they can be quickly reached by the computers processor., expandable by an additional 14 GB, and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Cooling is provided by a 7000 mm² vapor chamber and a 13,624 mm² graphite layer.

The smartphone runs on realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16, and the manufacturer promises three major Android updates and four years of security updates.

The main camera features a 50-megapixel sensor with dual-axis optical image stabilization, an f/1.8 aperture, and a 77.9-degree field of view. It's complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module with a 112-degree field of view. A 16-megapixel front-facing camera is available for selfies and video calls. The main camera can record video in up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second.

The dimensions of the device are 162.6 x 77.6 x 8.6 mm and weighs 208 g. The case is protected from dust and water according to IP66, IP68

IP (or "Ingress Protection") ratings are defined in international standard EN 60529 (British BS EN 60529:1992, European IEC 60509:1989). They are used to define levels of sealing effectiveness of electrical enclosures against intrusion from foreign bodies (tools, dirt etc) and moisture. The numbers that follow IP each have a specific meaning. The first indicates the degree of protection (of people) from moving parts, as well as the protection of enclosed equipment from foreign bodies. The second defines the protection level that the enclosure enjoys from various forms of moisture (drips, sprays, submersion etc). and IP69 standards.

The realme P4s 5G will go on sale in India on September 3. The 8GB + 128GB version is priced at $367, the 8GB + 256GB version is $399, and the 12GB + 256GB version is $440. Availability in other regions has not yet been announced.
