Google Pixel 3 Lite leaks again, right next to a Pixel 3 this time
Although it has in the past said it is only focusing on the high end of the marketplace with its smartphones, Google is now working on a mid-range Pixel 3 version. This device, codenamed Sargo, has been leaked a week ago for the first time, and since then we have also seen purported camera samples.

Today Sargo (which is going to be called Google Pixel 3 Lite) leaks again, this time in a shot in which it's right next to a Pixel 3.

Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL show up at the FCC
Google's Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have been leaking a lot lately, even though their official unveiling date might be October 9. Today it's been revealed that they have passed through the FCC's certification process already - with most documents filed in early July, though some date back to late June. We're only now finding out about this because the confidentiality period for the technical reports has ended today.

The two devices have been submitted to the FCC by Google itself, unlike in previous years when HTC (for both first-gen Pixels), then HTC and LG (for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, respectively) were tasked with that.

iPhone XS and XS Max drop test doesn't end well
Apple made some big claims about the durability of the glass used on the new iPhone XS and XS Max making the first drop test videos particularly interesting.

Even though the handsets feature "the strongest glass ever on a phone," the iPhone XS and XS Max are still fragile glass sandwiches. All it takes is a drop on concrete and the back and front panels shatter. The repair cost of the back panel is a whopping $599 on the iPhone XS Max while the front will set you back $329.

Cat announces the B35 - a rugged 4G feature phone
Cat briefly showcased the B35 rugged featurephone during this year's IFA and now the company is ready to reveal its complete details along with a launch time frame.

It is IP68 water and dust protected meaning it can go up to 1.2 m under water for 35 minutes. The chassis is also shock-proof and Cat has says it can survive 1.8m drops on concrete. Additionally, the handset is MIL-810G compliant so it can handle extreme cold, heat, salt mist, humidity and vibration.
