1. First download Xperia Companion on a laptop or PC.

2. Take the program here www.support.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/xperia-companion/.

3. Install this program to your computer.

4. Turn off the phone and connect the USB cable to the computer.

5. Open Xperia Companion and in the main menu, select Software Repair.

6. Confirm the process, follow the instructions on the screen.

7. Translate Sony Xperia R1 Plus in FastBoot Mode.

8. Hold down the Volume Down(-) button Connect the USB cable to the phone.

9. Press the Next button to delete all data.

10. Upon completion, turn off the phone.
