Philips-owned brand Evnia and BOE have unveiled the 25M4P5200T gaming monitor, one of the world's first to feature a native refresh rate of 1,000 Hz. Unlike experimental models from previous years, this new model displays images at this frequency at the hardware level without using frame interpolation technologies.

The monitor is equipped with a 24.5-inch IPSIn Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..panel with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and a 178-degree viewing angle. According to the developers, the display is capable of displaying up to 1,000 frames per second while maintaining the full resolution of each frame. The response time is just 0.2 ms GtG, and the MPRT reaches 0.1 ms. Additionally, the proprietary BLMB technology is used to reduce motion blur in dynamic scenes.

The monitor covers 99% of the sRGB color space and 95% of DCI-P3, with a Delta E color accuracy of less than 1. It is also VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified.

HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 are provided for connectivity. Additional features include AI tools for gaming, such as an intelligent crosshair, zooming in on specific areas of the screen, and improved visibility in dark scenes.

The price and exact release date of the monitor have not yet been announced.
