Towards the end of MWC 2026, OPPO and MediaTek announced a new collaboration and unveiled Omni, a full-featured local model capable of working with text, voice, and video simultaneously. According to the developers, the smartphone now not only responds to requests but also ?perceives? what is happening around it through the camera and microphone. Omni analyzes the scene in real time and allows you to have an interactive dialogue about what the device sees. For example, point the camera at something and get an explanation, hint, or advice depending on your request. Everything is processed locally, without constantly sending data to the cloud. OPPO is focusing on reducing latency, increasing privacy, and ensuring that the device works even without a stable internet connection. Special attention has been paid to the photo functions. AI Portrait Glow technology corrects photos taken in difficult lighting conditions, such as backlighting or dark rooms. All this is powered by the Dimensity 9500 chip, which, according to company employees, offers a level of processing close to cloud solutions. All these features will be available in the OPPO Find X9 series devices. |
