OnePlus has announced the release date for its new smartphone series, which will include two models: the base Turbo 6 and the ?lightweight? Turbo 6V. The company has shown off the gadgets in official teasers, and insiders have supplemented the official publication with a list of the devices' presumed specifications. According to promotional materials, the OnePlus Turbo 6 will be available in four memory configurations (12/256, 12/512, 16/256, and 16/512 GB) and three colors (black, white, and green). The Turbo 6V model will have three configurations (8/256, 12/256, 12/512 GB) and almost the same color palette (blue instead of green). Other specifications are still unknown, except for rumors. The OnePlus Turbo 6 is expected to feature a 6.78-inch screen (165 Hz) and a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, while the Turbo 6V will have a 6.8-inch screen (144 Hz) and a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. The battery capacity of both models is expected to be 9000 mAh. In addition, according to insiders, the new models will be protected from dust and water according to the IP68  IP (or "Ingress Protection") ratings are defined in international standard EN 60529 (British BS EN 60529:1992, European IEC 60509:1989). They are used to define levels of sealing effectiveness of electrical enclosures against intrusion from foreign bodies (tools, dirt etc) and moisture. The numbers that follow IP each have a specific meaning. The first indicates the degree of protection (of people) from moving parts, as well as the protection of enclosed equipment from foreign bodies. The second defines the protection level that the enclosure enjoys from various forms of moisture (drips, sprays, submersion etc). +IP69 standard. The presentation of the OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V is scheduled for January 8, 2026, with prices for the smartphones still unknown.
