Minisforum has begun sales of the compact BD895i SE (Mini-ITX) motherboard, which it positions as a platform for compact gaming desktops. Despite its ?laptop? design, it supports full-fledged discrete graphics cards with a PCI-Express interface. The new product comes with a soldered AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX processor and a pre-installed heat sink. The board has two slots for DIMM DRR5-5200 memory modules (up to 96 GB), a pair of M.2 connectors for SSD drives (up to 4 TB in total), and PCIe 5.0 x16 for connecting a graphics card. The set of interfaces includes Ethernet (2.5 Gb/s), HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (DisplayPort Alt), as well as two USB 2.0 Type-A and USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and audio jacks. Like the ?big? models, the new product is equipped with a 24-pin power connector and an additional 8-pin connector for the CPU. |
