1. Keyboard shortcut keys
There are several keyboard shortcuts for capturing an image, on the Mac screen:
Press Command+Shift+3 simultaneously to take a screenshot of your MacBook screen.
Press Command+Shift+4 and using the touchpad, select the area of the screen you want to capture to take a screenshot of your MacBook.
2. Using Screenshot Toolbar
The screenshot toolbar is a built-in application in your MacBook, to open it, press Command+Shift+5 or type Screenshot in Launchpad on your MacBook.
At the bottom of the screen you will see different screenshot options: Capture whole screen, Capture selected window, Capture selected area of your choice.
