HUAWEI Band 9: A refreshed fitness bracelet

huawei-band-9-

HUAWEI is currently among the leaders in the segment of wearable devices, and the company does not even think of stopping, continuously updating its lineup. Of course, there are cases, as with HUAWEI WATCH FIT Special Edition - actually, a re-released watch from three years ago. But usually the manufacturer has enough fresh ideas to do something new all the time.

Yes, of course, with the annual update, especially for such an unpretentious, in essence, device as a fitness bracelet, you should not expect revolutionary changes. But it never hurts to slightly refresh an already good model, right?

The changes in HUAWEI Band 9 started with the design. The very concept with a rectangular body has not changed in any way. Even the dimensions have not changed: 43.45 × 24.54 × 8.99 mm. Weight - 24 grams with a strap (black, as in our case). Interestingly, the weight varies depending on the color version - yes, one case is due to different materials (fluoroelastomer or braided nylon), but, for example, white and yellow fluoroelastomer straps weigh more than black; white - even less. Blue nylon is understandably the lightest. In any case, the bracelet on the hand is almost not felt - several times I took a shower right in the bracelet, forgetting to take it off - and thanks to moisture protection (the device can withstand water pressure up to five atmospheres) nothing bad happened to it.

The screen is unchanged: AMOLEDAMOLED, which stands for Active Matrix OLED, is a hybrid display technology that pairs the active matrix backplane from a traditional TFT display with an OLED display. As a result of their active matrix natures, AMOLED displays have faster pixel switching response times than do traditional OLED displays, which are prone to ghosting when displaying fast moving animations.with a diagonal of 1.47 inches and a resolution of 368 x 194 pixels (283 ppi), with very large bezels. The usable surface area of the front panel (?dial?) is 65%. The display is covered by tempered and slightly curved (2.5D) glass.
