HP has made a major update to its branded notebook lineup, announcing 18 consumer and 20 enterprise models within its existing lineup. The OmniBook 3/5/7 and OmniBook X families will receive the upgrade, including 2-in-1 Transformers with stylus support. One of the most interesting new products is the OmniBook 7 Aero - an ultra-light laptop weighing less than 1 kg. The device is equipped with a 13.3-inch IPS  In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..screen with a resolution of 1920x1200 or 2560x1600 pixels depending on the configuration, as well as AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor in conjunction with a memory configuration up to 32 GB / 1 TB. A 43Wh battery will be responsible for the device's battery life.The set of interfaces of the novelty includes two USB Type-C With the continued success of the USB interface, there exists a need to adapt USB technology to serve newer computing platforms and devices as they trend toward smaller, thinner and lighter form-factors. Many of these newer platforms and devices are reaching a point where existing USB receptacles and plugs are inhibiting innovation, especially given the relatively large size and internal volume constraints of the Standard-A and Standard-B versions of USB connectors. (10 Gbps) ports with Power Delivery and DisplayPort 2.1, a pair of USB Type-A (10 Gbps + 5 Gbps), as well as 3.5mm audio jack and HDMI 2.1. Specifications for the rest of the consumer lineup will be announced at a later date.In the enterprise series, 20 notebooks will be updated at once as part of the EliteBook 6 and 8 lines. These laptops will feature support for local AI for simple work tasks and the ability to connect to larger, higher-performance cloud-based neural networks for more serious projects. Information about the cost and availability of HP's new products has not yet been announced. |
