HKC unveils first monitor with RGB mini-LED display

hkc-m10-ultra-

HKC has unveiled the market's first mass-produced monitor with RGB mini-LED backlighting. According to the developers, its characteristics are similar to those of OLEDOLED technology was invented by Eastman Kodak in the early 1980s. OLED panels are made from organic (carbon based) materials that emit light when electricity is applied through them. Since OLEDs do not require a backlight and filters (unlike LCD displays), they are more efficient, simpler to make, and much thinner. OLEDs have a great picture quality - brilliant colors, fast response rate and a wide viewing angle. OLEDs can also be used to make OLED lighting - thin, efficient and without any bad metals.models, but without their main drawbacks.

The HKC M10 Ultra is equipped with a 31.4-inch matrix with 4788 local dimming zones. The refresh rate of the new product's screen in native 4K resolution is 165 Hz, and when switched to 1080p, it increases to 330 Hz.

The vendor claims that the use of RGB LEDs ensures high color accuracy. At the same time, the display shows deep blacks, similar to OLEDOLED technology was invented by Eastman Kodak in the early 1980s. The claimed color gamut of the new product is 100% sRGB (ΔE < 1), DCI-P3, and Adobe RGB, as well as 98% BT.2020. The peak brightness of the backlight in individual areas of the display is up to 1600 cd/m², and in full-screen mode ? up to 1000 cd/m². The new product supports calibration using 3D LUT tables and curves for HDRHDR stands for High Dynamic Range imaging, and it is an old photography practice recently introduced to cameraphones like the iPhone and some Android devices (or with the use of special apps). PQ and HLG.

The list of features is rounded out by an anti-glare display coating, two HDMI 2.1 connectors, one DisplayPort 2.1, and a USB-CWith the continued success of the USB interface, there exists a need to adapt USB technology to serve newer computing platforms and devices as they trend toward smaller, thinner and lighter form-factors. Many of these newer platforms and devices are reaching a point where existing USB receptacles and plugs are inhibiting innovation, especially given the relatively large size and internal volume constraints of the Standard-A and Standard-B versions of USB connectors.. with 98 W output power.

The price and release date of the monitor have not yet been announced.
