HKC has expanded its Nebula line of gaming devices with the release of the G27M5Pro monitor. The new product features a quantum dot screen with Mini LED backlighting and, despite its relatively affordable price, supports high resolution combined with an e-sports refresh rate.
The gaming monitor is based on a 27-inch Fast IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..panel (1440p @ 340 Hz) with a peak brightness of 1400 cd/m² in HDR HDR stands for High Dynamic Range imaging, and it is an old photography practice recently introduced to cameraphones like the iPhone and some Android devices (or with the use of special apps). mode (up to 550 cd/m² in SDR) and a response time of 1 ms (GtG). The QD-Mini LED backlight array is divided into 1152 local dimming zones.
The claimed color gamut is 98% P3 and 100% sRGB (10 bits, 1.07 billion shades). DIC 2.0 technology further reduces image blur.
The monitor is equipped with two HDMI 2.1 connectors and one DisplayPort 1.4 connector for connecting to a signal source. The included stand allows you to adjust the height of the screen, tilt it, and turn it to the sides. There are also holes for VESA 100 x 100 mm mounting.
The price of the HKC G27M5Pro on the Chinese market is $245.
