GIGABYTE has unveiled the X870E AERO X3D WOOD, the first motherboard with real wood elements. The manufacturer claims that the new product brings comfort and harmony to the workspace. At the same time, the unusual design has not compromised the hardware specifications.

The board's design features decorative wooden inserts and even leather ?tabs? for quick removal of heat sinks. The company claims that the use of wood has not affected the heating and other functions of the motherboard.

The board is built on an eight-layer PCB, supports DDR5 overclocking up to 9000 MT/s, and can work with top-of-the-line Ryzen chips up to 9950X3D thanks to a 16+2+2 power supply circuit. There are four M.2 slots for storage devices, including PCIe 5.0. The graphics card interface is also PCIe 5.0 compliant. SSD installation is simplified with the proprietary M.2 EZ-Latch Click & Plus screwless mechanism.
