Garmin has unveiled a mid-segment smart watch called Instinct 3 and the more affordable Instinct E. According to the company, the combination of a built-in solar panel and transflective display (MiP) can provide ?infinite? autonomy to the new gadgets. The Garmin Instinct 3 is available in AMOLED ![]() The list of functions includes monitoring of sleep, heart rate and other health indicators. There's also contactless payment via Garmin Pay, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) geo-positioning, and a built-in flashlight. There is also support for SatIQ, a technology that improves navigation accuracy and extends battery life. According to the company, AMOLED-version in smartwatch mode works up to 24 days, and in satellite navigation mode - from 30 to 40 hours. Modification with MiP-screen - works ?indefinitely? thanks to the solar panel (it is supposed to be worn all day long with 3 hours a day outdoors at 50,000 lux). The Instinct E is available in 40mm and 45mm sizes and features a transflective display only. The watch has a battery life of up to 14 days and up to 12 hours in GPS ![]() All new products will go on sale on January 10: Garmin Instinct 3 will be priced from $449, Instinct E - from $299. |
