Durabook has released the R10 rugged Windows tablet, capable of operating even in extreme conditions. In addition to a casing with multiple protection classes, the gadget has a powerful processor, as well as the ability to connect various modules and hot-swap batteries.

The Durabook R10 is equipped with a 10.1-inch IPSIn Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..display with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels and a brightness of up to 1000 cd/m², which recognizes touches from gloves and wet hands, and also supports the MPP 1.51 stylus.

The body of the new product is protected according to MIL-STD-810H, IP66, MIL-STD 461G (electromagnetic radiation), and ANSI/UL C1D2 (use in hazardous areas) standards. It is also resistant to drops from heights of up to 180 cm, vibrations, and temperatures ranging from -29 to +63 ?C.

The top-of-the-line model is built on an Intel Core Ultra 7 268V processor. It has 16 to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAMRandom Access Memory (RAM) is the place in a computer where the operating system, application programs, and data in current use are kept so that they can be quickly reached by the computers processor. and 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB, or 2 TB of NVMe storage.

The functionality of the device can be expanded with removable modules: a keyboard, barcode scanner, RFID reader, or smart card reader. It has a claimed battery life of up to 16 hours and a hot-swappable battery. The set of interfaces includes USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, Thunderbolt 4, Ethernet, and RS-232 ports, as well as 5G (optional), Bluetooth V5.4, GPSThe Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite-based navigation system made up of at least 24 satellites. The list of features is complemented by two cameras (11 MP rear and 5 MP front) with privacy shutters, a fingerprint scanner, and a TPM 2.0 chip. The tablet measures 265 x 189.5 x 21.2 mm and weighs 1.2 kg. The release date and price of the Durabook R10 will be announced later.
