DeepCool unveiled a mini-PC with an external cooler.

At the recent Computex 2026 exhibition, DeepCool demonstrated a concept for an unusual compact PC. Its key feature is a CPUCPU is the abbreviation for central processing unit (the processor). The CPU is the brains of the computer where most calculations take place. cooler mounted outside the case, which increases airflow and improves cooling efficiency.

An external cooler has constant access to fresh air and isn't limited by the case's dimensions, as is typical with mini PCs. This allows for larger, more efficient cooling systems without having to increase the PC's size.

The concept uses a modular design. The motherboard and processor are housed in the upper compartment, while the graphics card is housed in a separate lower module and connected via a PCIe riser. This separation of components improves heat dissipation.

However, the concept also has obvious drawbacks. Due to its open design, the cooler is not protected from dust, so contaminants will accumulate faster than in conventional filtered enclosures. Therefore, DeepCool is not yet ready for commercial release.
