ASUS has added the TUF Gaming VG27UQEL5A gaming monitor to its lineup. The new model features a 27-inch display with a refresh rate of up to 310 Hz, 4K resolution, and two operating modes. The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27UQEL5A features a 27-inch Fast IPS  In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..panel with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels. In this mode, the refresh rate reaches 80 Hz, and when switched to Full HD, it reaches 310 Hz. The maximum brightness is 400 nits, the contrast ratio is 1000:1, and the color gamut covers 120% of the sRGB spectrum.The monitor supports NVIDIA G-SYNC, AMD FreeSync, VESA DisplayHDR 400, and Adaptive Sync technologies, and is equipped with two 2-watt speakers. Connectivity options include DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The monitor is mounted on a stand that supports tilt, height adjustment, swivel, and rotation. The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27UQEL5A retails for $235 in China. |
