Initial tests of the A19 Pro processor installed in the iPhone 17 Pro were met with skepticism, but the final results of the production devices put everything in its place. The new chip became the most powerful compared to its current competitors and also proved to be the leader in energy efficiency, showing the best ?performance per watt? results among all mobile chips. In the Geekbench 6 multi-core test, the new A19 Pro scored 11,054 points with a power consumption of 12.1 W. For comparison, its closest competitor, the Xiaomi XRING 01, showed 14.2% worse efficiency at 14.1 W and did not reach 10,000 points. The Snapdragon 8 Elite consumed 17 W (28.8% more) to achieve 10,242 points, while the Dimensity 9400 was the most power-hungry with 18.4 W and a 34.2% lag. In single-core mode, the A19 Pro also confidently took the lead, scoring 4019 points ? the best result among all mobile processors. Thus, Apple's chip leads in all key synthetic test scenarios until the release of new solutions from competitors. The architectural foundation deserves special attention: the A19 Pro is based on new circuitry and is manufactured using the TSMC N3P (third generation 3 nm) process. This has allowed the company to achieve gains not only in synthetic tests, but also in real-world scenarios. According to the results of AAA game tests, the new chip provides up to 69% higher frame rates compared to the A18 Pro and A17 Pro. |
