Budget 144Hz AOC monitor with G-SYNC support now available

AOC has unveiled its affordable Q27G51F gaming monitor in China, which boasts several features found in more expensive models. The new 1440p monitor supports HDR10 and a range of useful gaming technologies, yet is priced similarly to entry-level office models.

The AOC Q27G51F is equipped with a 27-inch Fast IPSIn Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..panel (2560x1440 pixels) with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a brightness of 300 cd/m² in SDR mode. The display's claimed color gamut is 99% sRGB and 90% P3 (ΔE < 2), and the response time is 0.5 ms (MRPT).

The monitor supports NVIDIA G-SYNC, AMD FreeSync, and MBR Sync technologies. The latter is AOC's own development, which inserts empty ?black? frames between real ones and synchronizes with the refresh rate, improving image clarity in dynamic scenes without losing brightness.

There are HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports for connecting to a PC, and a 3.5 mm jack for headphones. Among other features, the brand highlights HDR10 support, a blue light filter, and a stand with tilt adjustment ranging from -5 to 23?.

The monitor is already on sale in China for 749 yuan (about $105), but there is no information yet on its availability in other countries.
