AOC has added the budget-friendly 24G51Z gaming monitor to its product catalog. Despite its ?office? price, this new product supports a high refresh rate and combines high color accuracy with an expanded set of gaming features.

The monitor is equipped with a 23.8-inch Fast IPSIn Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..matrix (1920x1080 pixels) on quantum dots, capable of accelerating up to 260 Hz. The peak brightness of the panel backlight is 400 cd/m², and the response time is 1 ms (GtG).

The manufacturer also claims high accuracy (Delta E < 2, 96% P3 and 93.8% Adobe RGB). The user's eyesight is protected by hardware blue light filtering and flicker suppression functions.

For gamers, Adaptive Sync and AOC MBR Sync technologies are supported. In addition, the on-screen menu allows you to configure the crosshairs, frame rate counter, and dark area highlighting, as well as select a preset configuration for a specific game genre.

The monitor's interface set includes DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 connectors and a 3.5 mm audio output. The adjustable stand allows you to adjust the tilt angle from −5? to +23?, and thanks to VESA 100×100 mm mounting support, the monitor can be mounted on a bracket.

The AOC 24G51Z is now available in China for $91.
